A panel debate on the contentious issue of food and fuel, being held on the Wednesday afternoon, will be thrown open to questions from the public.

Radio talkback king Alan Jones will moderate the panel, which includes Australian community health campaigner Dr Ray Kearney, Queensland’s AgForce Grain President Lyndon Pfeffer, the head of the influential Nebraska Ethanol Board Todd Sneller and American National Corn Growers Association President, Gerald Tumbleson.

Queensland farmer and Nuffield Scholar, Ronald Thompson will be the opening keynote speaker on day two of the main conference. Ronald spent a year travelling to 12 countries on a prestigious agricultural scholarship and will deliver his view on why he believes the biofuels industry could be the boost many Australian rural communities are looking for.
